Fraser Ride With The Boys

Fraser Ride With The Boys

Justin Alber

This past weekend, I linked up with Kyle, Sean, and Erik for a ride up in Fraser, Colorado—and it was about as good as it gets. Bluebird skies, crisp mountain air, and a stacked trail lineup made for a near-perfect day on two wheels.

We kicked things off on Givelo Trail, warming up our legs and getting dialed heading into Creekside and Broken Spade—two punchy, fast trails that kept us on our toes early. From there, we kept the flow going on IKO, weaving through the forest. By the time we hit Elk Meadow, the ride had hit its stride—open views, tacky dirt, and that feeling like the day’s just unfolding exactly how it should.

After a quick regroup, we dropped into Double Bit and Dank Woods, where the tech started to ramp up. Those sections demanded a little more focus, but they paid off in spades with tight corners, natural hits, and the kind of challenge that makes you grin halfway through. WTB Trail and Razzmatazz brought the energy back up with some ripping descents and playful lines, and we capped it all off with Akima’s Way—a proper send-off with a satisfying finish.

The weather was dialed—66° and sunny with a light breeze and zero humidity. It honestly felt like the kind of day you dream about all winter long. Whether it was the terrain, the crew, or the fact that Fraser always delivers, this one will go down as a top-tier session. Legs were smoked, smiles were big, and we left with just enough energy to talk about when we’re coming back.

Ride Summary

Saturday mornings don’t get much better.
Linked up with Erik, Sean, and Kyle for a lap around Fraser and knocked out 23 miles with 2,300 feet of vert. Blue skies, tacky dirt, good company—the kind of ride that fills the tank instead of emptying it. Chill pace, plenty of laughs, and just enough effort to earn a post-ride beer. One of those days that reminds you why you ride—and makes you want to do it all over again tomorrow.
